welly blues Mrs H asks:
'With all this bad weather around I want some new wellys, preferably ones lined with neoprene but I have fat calves (that’s the lower halves of my legs rather than the cute 4 leg variety) and need a style that caters for small feet and the aforementioned fat calves – Deidre - what do you suggest? (don’t say an exercise bike!)' Don't worry Mrs H, goodness me, this is such a common dilema & I shall be seeking out some suitable products available in the peak district. Given that there's no mention of budget here are a couple of ideas: The first suggestion is from Brocklehurst's of Bakewell, it's the rolls royce of wellies, le chameau, with an adjustable strap with waterproof gusset, neoprene lined and double soled for extra insulation. Practical and stylish at £140 they should last many years. The second suggestion is the Shire's thermo boot from Hope Valley Saddlery with a practical horsey look which comes in at a much affordable £35 - it's neoprene and has a reflective triangle on the back of the boot.   |
