spare half acre? easy guide to caravans

'Get up and go!..' do you remember that old advert for caravanning? You may be on the same wave length as jeremy clarkson when it comes to caravans on a personal level, but as a source of income they could be useful if you've got a spare half acre.
It's not necessary to have planning permission if you've got a farm, small holding, pub, golf course or land attached to your house. Interested? Then here's some useful information from the caravan club who have all the information you need to get started. The good thing is a third of the caravan club's favourite sites are of this type so it's a popular option all round:
'The Caravan Club has a network of some 2,500 informal 5-van sites, for the exclusive use of Caravan Club members. With Certificated Locations (CL's) becoming increasingly popular with members (with a third of them already using CLs as their favourite type of site), the Caravan Club welcomes applications from prospective CL owners, and will help and guide you through the application process. To find out more look at the Landowners Leaflet (pdf opens in a new window 245kb).'
