Defra annouced that its latest Code of Good Agricultual Practice has been updated and is available online. It offers free best practice advice for farmers to protect and enhance water, soil, and air quality in agricultural environments. Advice covers subjects such as: 1. managing fertilisers and applying nutrients to avoid soil contamination, 2. storing silage and handling effluents 3. waste storage, recovery, and disposal.
