Calling all land army girls
Calling all land army girls
Posted on Thursday, 16 October 2008 02:03PM by
peakdistrict online
The country owes a huge debt to the land army girls who kept the countryside going during WWII. About 80,000 ladies enlisted and worked the land in 1943 and provided an enormous contribution for the nation.
A special badge commemorating this hard work has been developed in recognition of their efforts and if you, or anyone you know, are eligible to recieve a badge please contact XXXXXXXXX.
If you have any memories or stories from your days as a land girl we'd love to hear from you and share them on the site.
